Why Self Defense?
It is interesting that we have insurance for all the things we have worked hard in our lives to achieve. Auto, home, life, and health to name a few. Then we take measures to protect our possessions. You probably have a smoke detector for you home or maybe an alarm system for you car. Yet when it comes to protecting ourselves from the numerous predators walking the streets, we count on others to protect us.
Personal protection, in our view, is a fundamental human right. It's an insurance policy you hope to never have to use. Once properly trained, one will have the piece of mind of knowing what to do, and not to do. Isn't that better than just hoping things work out on its own?

What is Kenpo?
Originated by the Great Priest Daruma, (Buddha 28) Kenpo is considered more complete than any other art of self-defense. Although comparable in some ways to boxing, jiu-jitsu, judo and wrestling, Kenpo has its own unique techniques. When unarmed, with the use of Kenpo, one can capably fell an aggressive foe by striking, thrusting, kicking or hurling down and strangling him. Experts claim that nothing can surpass this art.
Kenpo Creed: “I come to you with only Karate, empty hands. I have no weapons, but should I be forced to defend myself, my principles or my honor. Should it be a matter of life or death, right or wrong, then here are my weapons, Karate, empty hands."
What is Tracy American Kenpo?
Tracy style Kenpo is the systematic association of self defense techniques. The 21st Great Grand Master of Kenpo Karate James Mitose, taught to his students. One of his students, William Chow taught Ed Parker, who in turn taught Al, Jim and Will Tracy. The Tracy Brothers have kept the Kenpo techniques and forms exactly as they were taught to them. Kenpo self defense techniques are executed with power, speed and focus. Practical and effective are the words most often used to describe Tracy's style of Kenpo. Self-defense is the main objective of the art, and any and all measures are used to assure the outcome of any assault.
